New Danish Folk High School Catalog Available for 2016

January 4, 2016

In Denmark, there are about 70 Folk High Schools, and nowhere in the world have Folk High Schools flourished more than in Denmark.

There are schools ranging from Christian or Spiritual Schools to General and Grundtvigian Schools, Gymnastics & Sports Schools, Lifestyle Schools, Schools for Senior Citizens, Specialised Schools and Youth Folk High Schools (16 – 19 years).

There are long courses ranging from 2 to 10 months and short courses ranging from 1 to 7 weeks, including themed courses, family courses, senior courses, travel courses and medium-length courses.

At the International People’s College in Helsingør, for example, “Den Internationale Højskole” is the only international Folk High School with students from all over the world and where all classes are taught in English.
